We were given instructions to remove our shoes, provided slippers and sanitized our hands. We booked online and when we arrived our table was ready and waiting for us. I probably will go back, and I do recommend a visit, just make sure that you are aware your food and drinks are charged on top of the £5pp entrance fee.Ī group of six of us stopped by for lunch here. There is a girl working there with dark brown hair and a short fringe - she was lovely, no issues with her at all, and she seemed to be caring for the cats and making sure they were ok and fed etc. I really can't put my finger on why she did this? Very unprofessional and nasty to the cat. Unfortunately we witnessed one member of staff with green-tipped hair, sneak up on a cat and scare them, she then regarded 'I just want them to love me' - let me tell you, you're going the wrong way about getting a cat to love you by scaring the life out of them. The cats are all lovely soft-furred friendly little chaps, they love to play, but most do wish to sleep, just like cats do! My biggest issue with this cat cafe is the staff.
BUT you don't get a free drink included with that. You can also buy some pretty cool merch as well (t shirts, mugs, keyrings etc.), entry fee is £5 - fair enough considering vet bills, food, running costs etc.
Mog on The Tyne is a lovely cat cafe in the sense that the cats are well looked after and there are plenty of things for the cats to do - it looks great.
